1a. OIL PAINTING (Mondays 9-11:30 am | 6th grade & up | $475)

In this class students will learn traditional techniques and methods of oil painting and then develop their personal style and process. Class subjects will be on color theory, light logic, perspective, composition, mark-making, and more. Throughout the year, students will paint from Old Master artworks, plaster casts, still lifes, plants/trees, live-portrait models, and photographs. Students will also work on personal painting projects with their own intent or goals for their art. This is a really informative and fun art class for beginners and advanced artists alike to develop as an artist and progress in their skills and creativity.

At checkout, pay the $50 registration fee to hold your spot. Then pay the class price $475 with cash/check on the first day of class or pay through your charter. 

Note: This sign up period is for the Fall semester. The class runs throughout the school year (two 15-week semesters). You commit and pay one semester at a time by signing up and paying the registration fee. (You will need to pay the registration fee each semester.)

MATERIALS

Easels are provided. The rest of the art supplies will be purchased by the student. A materials list will be sent after you register.

Fall 2024 15-week semester: August 26 – December 18th. 

Spring 2025 15-week semester: January 6th – May 7th.
